Nothing special but just a note since I was up to Rowena today.
IMHO the Balsamroot is at least two weeks out. I saw a few plants just at the very start of blooming but no more than a dozen. If we have a week of warm weather maybe that might change. Still though, there is no need to rush out there this weekend for sure, maybe, maybe, maybe next weekend.

I like this, Mark. I'd like to see more like this from your Columbia vantage points. Beautiful capture of the light. You might consider darkening the foreground a tad.

Mark, I really like this golden reflection. Great capture. I do see what Marc is talking about with the FG, it could be a little darker. Something seems slightly off with the tree colors but I am on a non-calibrated monitor right now and that may be the issue.
Great light, Mark. Is that a dust spot in the water upper right center? What Adrian wrote about the tree colors being off looks like either frost or the exposure too light. Anyway, they detract somewhat from the reflection IMHO.
If I had had a larger lens than the 200 I had I could have isolated the far shore and have done something nice. As it was, the town of Lyle and the train tracks were right above the top of the frame. Looking at the Raw file right now I'd have to say that the lower trees are accurate. That light spot is a fishing buoy.

nice image but it is a bit soft........do some of that magic sharpening everyone talks about and maybe just a slight color adj........from the prints in your house, I can see this one hanging up there too.....but as is, I am not feeling it!
Great reflection. Good eye for spotting this unusual and interesting composition. Thank you for the update on the balsamroot, probably saved me a trip.

Great potential, I like the idea Mark. I too like the idea of a tighter on the water comp and more contrast between the shore and the water to really emphasize that nice reflection. Thanks for the info on Rowena.
