Winter has been sloooooooooooooooooow to release its hold on us this year. Usually by this time the snow on Mt. Si is a lot further up the mountain. There are still patches of snow in our backyard - the house is some 500 feet above where I was standing for this image.

This site has PLENTY of potential as we move through the seasons and is only 10 minutes from the house!! We LOVE livin in Snoqualmie!!!

BTW I took this image yesterday after work.

One thing I forgot to mention is I processed this in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 beta!! I am running both 1.3.1 and the 2.0 beta on the same box and this seems to be working fine.

The dual monitor support in 2.0 beta is interesting. Download it and find out for yourself what I mean...

Tell me about it... my place in Leavenworth has a mountain of snow at the end of the driveway pushed there by the snowplow that's taller than me. Last Friday we got five more inches! But it melted quick.

Nice shot, Rick. I especially like the reflections of the snow chutes in the water. Mt. Si is an inspiring mountain to view as I whiz by on the highway.

Nice, Rick - I'm a big fan of capturing the little peaks for their own aesthetic beauty. They're often overshadowed by the giants, but scenes like this are really quite impressive. I was trying to do a similar view of Table Mountain in the Gorge a few weeks ago, with similar snow on the upper reaches (but mixed results in the images I captured).

Not bad there Mr. Lamb. What a beautiful area. Love all the different layers.

10 minutes away is great! This looks like a great Mt. to catch some late/early light and color on.
