Little Grebe.
Canon 40D, Sigma 300-800, F7.1, 1/400ss -1/3, iso 400, Bean bag on floor.

Hi Guy,

Very nice capture! Superb point of view, colours and detail! Nice Background! It could just be me, well it probably is just me, but I think a very slight Halo on the beak! - sorry!

Sometimes its also nice to see the edge of those ripples in the water rather than have them cut off. If your too close then that isnt possible I know.

Lovely Guy. I've always found these birds difficult to get a pleasing shot of - getting down low seems to do the trick.

Hi Guy,same set up as mine and very sharp for such an unforgiving lens,the colours on these birds are brilliant this time of year and you have done it justice :toast: :toast:
