A reflection image I kinda liked. I thought "clouds on the edge" was a fitting name. Comments appreciated.

Hey - very creative, Gale. I love the silky smooth water and the reflections of the clouds. Nicely visualized.

Gale, I really like what you've done here. Great eye to extract this scene from its surroundings. I like it as is but if the trees etc. weren't included at top this would be even more appealling. Very nice work!

Gale,
Very interesting composition and well chosen exposure. The water looks like liquid metal. Quite stunning color, too. I could go either way on the trees at the top. They do create a bit of an unnatural border for me.

Very neat Gale, colors and the water looks wonderful, I think that is the highlight of the image. The placement of the falls are done very well. Looks like it would have been fun to shoot.

Gale, the foreground limbs at the top in the original were bugging me too, but the cropped version on your blog is sweet. I like your name for the image!

Wayne I agree with you on the trees, I had already done a crop and was just afraid I wouldn't have enough sky and clouds to show. I really don't like the color of the water on the bottom right but can't figure out how to clean it up. Here is the crop version. This is closer to what I visualize in my mind for the image, I wish I could clean it up even more though. The water ripples are edited puposely to give it a artistic surreal look.

Thanks Tim, Brad and John.

Dominic did you mean the trees are unnatural or the water?
Posted by Dominic Rossetti on April 4, 2008 at 8:25 AM
I meant that the border created by the trees at the top was unnatural.

Dominic, thanks for your complements, and help. I appreciate it. Just wanted to clarify.

This is great, I love the silky feel of the mid water, the clouds, the contrast with the harsh quicker water. Very, very creative and great eye to see that!
