I took this image last week, don't get these around me any more which is a crying shame, beautiful bird.

Canon 1D MK11, 500mm Lens, 1.4x Convertor, 1/125, F5.6, ISO 200

nice lighting Mr Green, went to BO site on way home from lakes, farmer says still like clockwork!

My mates got a little group in his back garden not far from you, Warwickshire, been meaning to twist his arm for a go at them

Nice shot Danny, tho' I'd have liked a catchlight in the eye which you'd have got with a slight head turn...

Sorry, you can't have mine

- got two pairs hanging around the feeders, so hopefully they'll nest again this year.

there are a few pockets of these birds in the East Mids but they're certainly not as common as they once were. A lovely shot Danny.
