This shot was taken facing roughly east from Stout's Point near the famous gravesite on top of Petit Jean Mountain. The shot was taken in the late evening of April Fool's Day by a genuine April fool... ME! The wife and I were just passing by, but since we were early for our appointment we stopped to take in the view and a couple photos. This one was my favorite.
Taken w/Nikon D200 and Sigma 30/1.4 @ f/8, 1/125, and ISO 180.
Nice shot, Jason. I like how the road "bounces" of the boulder and then works its way up the valley.

Nice shot Jason. Looks like there is some of that residual rainwater in the fields below. Nice color and I like the trees dotting the field too. Thanks for sharing.
Really nice work Jason. I love the trees and beautiful green pasture area between the highway and the other road.
I don't know if you could have stopped down and still kept the fg trees sharp, but I would like to see a little more detail in the outcrop and beautiful orange lichen. You might also crop slightly from the bottom to eliminate the small piece of the bluff in the middle.

That's a very peaceful valley - very nice. I echo Bill's comments about sharpness and the bit of bluff at the bottom.

Thanks a lot for all your comments! Admittedly, I didn't do a lot of post work on this image... I straightened the horizons a bit and applied some USM and that was about it. The cropping suggestion is a good one. Thanks again!
