Oh, how I love the fog...As I am writing this, it's really starting to settle in here. Looks like tomorrow morning will be another dandy morning for waterfalls. And I'm out of sick days

Wow - that's de ja vue all over again! I took this one as I left your gallery opening back in December. Those are really cool trees!
Now that is just weird! How did you get all the cows out of the way?

I'm excited for two reasons about waterfalls today. First, this morning I'm headed into that spot I was telling you about that I wrote about the other day - finally getting to point some glass at the new waterfalls after two years of anticipation! Carly Simon would be proud. If I get any good photos I'll post them in the Journal on Monday, and will put the location info there too.It is one of those locations that is quite incredible in person, but may be difficult to transfer that feeling to a 2-D image. I'm going to try to lower myself into the little slot canyon there to photograph the "V" falls just upstream but am not sure if I'll be able to pull that off or not - it is very slick, and if they got too much rain overnight the waters will be too high anyway, but I'm going to give it a shot.
And then I was able to get permission to take my waterfall workshop students this weekend to photograph the covered bridge with the waterfall underneath it, and it is running just about perfect right now.
Sorry to hear you are out of sick days - they need to have a "Bill Dark Needs To Shoot" day at least once a month...
It should be a grand weekend for waterfalls around here and I hope lots of you get to wade a creek or two and make some exposures!
Tim, this is a great shot. It doesn't seem like Arkansas for some reason. And Tim I like your BW version with just the trees. By the way, I've been staring at this for quite a while. Do you think that branch is ever going to fall?
Old glass? Did old lenses vignette more than the new ones? Is that what people mean when they tell me I'm vignetting? I guess I need to start lightening up around the edges, ey!

Yes, one hell of a trip. Lots more from the waterfall workshop this weekend. I'll try to post something in the next couple of days...
