For info the techs are : 1D mk3; 500mm IS; 1/2500; f7.1; ISO500; +.33
The weather was, err how do I put this....... poor!
I see all your views on the crop, it's about a quarter, with a lot more birds in the frame, what I was attempting to show was a capture of the birds, in some detail, where the eye normaly just captures in a flash (bearly being able to identify the species) but still leave in the big sea aspect.
Its been great to get such positive and constructive comments
Thank you
Chris

Hi Chris,
I'm trailing behind as usual here, but iIreally liked the concept. Some details. like usm and more seperation would definitely have improved it, but what can you do about the latter.
The big sea, really makes the picture for me and if I had been clever enough to see the idea, I would try it again whenever possible. Eric
