Prairie & Tree
I wanted to post just one picture so you all knew that I do still own a camera. No masterpiece of an image but it sure felt good standing out in this prairie reminent tonight. I was drawn to the sweeping tonal changes in the grass.

Hope you all have a great weekend of shooting! :wavey:

The grass really is beautiful, Wayne - I've always been drawn to that too. I'm kind of wishing for a more interesting sky, but you take what you can get! Good to see you post again!

Wayne great tones in the praire grass and I like the single tree as the focal point. Glad you were able to get out today.

Glad to see you take a break and get the camera out. I like how the layers start in the grass and continue all the way up thru the sky.

Wayne, the colors and textures in the bottom two thirds are very captivating, indeed. I would like a bit more interest in the sky, but it's a nice scene either way. I also like how the grasses seem to lean toward the tree.

Very nice Wayne, the grasses looks wonderful, and the clouds just above the horizon shows the horizontal lines as seen in the grasses. Great eye and a beautiful prairie shot. I'm glad to see you got to do some shooting, I know you were aching too. Nice job.

Glad to hear you were able to get out and shoot a little bit Wayne.

I've always been a sucker for grasses (except fescue) , and you've done a great job of composing this image. The small, dark mottled areas really add to the interest and depth, as do the different shades of soft warm color. Maybe you can return sometime when the sky is more cooperative. Keep up the good work!

Good to see you posting, Wayne. This shot is well composed, and the tonal changes in the grass are indeed very nice. I like the wide-open feeling of this image.
