My summer holiday, this year, is Menorca for 2 weeks en famille last 2 weeks of July. of course will take my equipment with me and i was wondering if there is someone who can give me some information about photographic opportunities on the Island. The only information i got is more related to birdwatching.
Many thanks in advance

Hi Rene,

Firstly, Menorca is a stunning Island, small and you can jump in the car and drive and find your own little cove and be there all day on your own. I have stayed in Punta Prima and Son Bou. Son Bou has a large reed bed that runs along the back of the beach,(the far end toward Saint Thomas is nudist, although beach is over a mile long) I had Marsh Harrier there daily, also Warblers and Buntings. I went in October and that time of year a massive Starling roost took place every night, but might not happen in July. Inland on day trips to Cuitadella and Mahon I saw Short toed and Booted Eagle. On a trip to monte tor (the highest point of the island) I had Egyptian Vulture. Eleanor's Falcon can found on the cliffs (north of the island would be best) altohugh I have never seen one. Again head inland and you should find Bee Eaters pretty much any where. Have a great trip Rene Menorca is a stunning island and my favourite place to go.

HTH
