Great Blue Heron
Captured this image this morning. The herons were pretty busy building their nests.
Thanks for looking.

Really nice Dan!! The structure of the wing feathers is amazing. Thanks for posting. How far do they carry stuff to make the nest?

Thanks Nat. In this instance, they were finding branches pretty close to the nest.

Great shot.

I've seen several at PP and Crown Hill the last few days.

There are at least 5 pelicans at Crown Hill today as well, if you're interested.

Dan, It takes a lot to make an impressive GBH image these days and this one is excellent - great detail!

The shot really brings out a pre-historic profile. Really nice lighting and a cool photo!

I agree. Its a very nice (and sharp) capture of a Great Blue Heron in flight. I've been enjoying these birds here in the Springs lately too.
