Hi, does anyone have either the Nikon L15 digital camera w/the battery charger or the canon A570? I currently have the Nikon D40 and love it, but wanted a compact digital for everyday use. I did post a similar question awhile back, but the prices on some that were talked about exceeded my budget by about $50 or so. Any help is appreciated. Also looking for a simple little point and shoot for my 4 year old grandson..he always wants to use our camera and that just isn't going to happen I don't want to spend more then $20 or so, but (for his birthday we are getting him the sturdy one that is advertised on TV and that costs about $50+, but of course I would rather see if he is really interested in photography before we spend all this money that would just sit in a toy box
Thanks everyone for your help!
Bonnie
It's been awhile since I researched compact cameras and I'm not familiar with the A570 but picking up the paper today, I noticed that Pro Photo Supply in Portland has the Canon A580 on sale for $149.99.
I do own the Canon A620 and A640 and love them both.
Good for you getting the grandson shooting early. I hope my daughter someday takes an interest in photography as I imagine there would be nothing better than sharing the gorgeous sunrises, sunsets and wilderness experiences with your children or grandchildren. It also would be nice to have someone to help carry the gear.

Hey Thanks for your reply!
I am sticking with my original purchase of the Nikon L15. I love my Nikon D40 and am trying to stay loyal, but hey if Canon has a better deal some day, I may give them a try
Thanks again!
