LTT in snow
Woke up to a couple of inches of snow yesterday so I went straight out with the camera.

Canon 1D MkIII + 500 iso400 1/200 @ f5.6

I think I have just seen next years Wiltshire Wildlife Trust's Christmas card. :smile:

Nice image, excellent dollop of snow on Sunday, even if it only lasted a few hours. Best snow in Swindon for a couple of years.

Hi David,

Image does look at bit busy with all the snow covered twigs. But nice lighting on the LTT, and looks nice in the Snow.

Hope you don't mind me replying, being a newbie an' all...

I think this is a brilliant shot, fantastic sharpness, great eye contact. I would say the background/twigs is a bit distracting, but the colours are wonderful! :smile: Very Christmas card-y!!

I was driving back from the airport all morning so no chance to stop or do anything I'd like to have done, and by the time I got back to Shropshire there was no snow left :mad: :frown:

Great Xmas material though

Background is a bit distracting but the setting makes up for it and it doesnt bother me!

Great image, bg a touch busy... we had quite a bit more and it was snowing till at least mid afternoon, and guess who didn't have a chance to get out :frown: . The one Sunday I had arranged to do family stuff and no way to get out of it...

Xmas in April.....

Very nice, would of loved to get some snowy images. Sadly family commitments get in the way.

Nice one David. Might be worth looking at a tighter crop to remove some of the extra branches around the edge, but I would keep those framing the bird.
