Went snowshoeing in the San Juans this weekend. Lizard Head on Sat, The Camp Bird road on Sun. The weather wasnt good for photos, but a couple inches of fresh snow Sat night helped make things purty. The Camp Bird road was a blast--numerous slides buryin it a good 20 ft in spots, quite amazing. Thanks to the clouds, i concentrated on B&W shots. This is from Camp Bird.
Wow! That's some impressive snow still up there! Nice having a little fresh touch-up.
Looks like it might be some time before the Camp Bird road is open for jeep travel.
I really like the snow draped canyon in #2. But the whites in both of your BW images appear rather dull & grey on my monitor. Do others see it that way also - or is it a calibration difference ?
Thanks guys--yeah those whites were a tad underexposed, for some reason didnt notice until after i posted. I had a 'doh' moment when i was shooting and accidentally used the wrong ISO, which threw off the exposures, fortunately ive been able to correct that in RAW.
Nice Stan, cept for the Iso issue - hate when that happens. I Love the SJ's... wildflower season should be outstanding this year! Jack that cave-ram is awesome too!

That is a huge amount of snow up there. Good for you for getting out.
