Woodburn Oregon--TULIPS--report
For those in the PDX area, The thinking is that peak will be mid week next week. This weekend should be good and even better next week. Right now there is lots of color, but the folks over there who know say its about 60%.

I was there today in cold, very windy conditions( thus the blurry yellow tulips in this picture --shot a 400 ISO!.

However the crowds this weekend should be really huge, making shooting a bit tough, so if you can get over there next Monday-on you'll be better off. I have to go out of town until late in the week so I hope things are still happening!

Enjoy

I was there last Thursday: http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=vp&pr=94789&CGISESSID=9c283c651184accf36a30216cd8ef5a3&u=9782
and the tulips were very tiny, almost non-existent. Except a small area by the windmill which you can find on the photo, the rest was rather disappointing. Maybe by the weekend it will be better.

Thanks for the update! I keep looking out the window and going well, maybe tomorrow...

JG...if you look at the topic that is at the top of the forum....we have permission and will be there on the 12th at daybreak....come on out and join us if you can find the time. We will have the fields pretty much to ourselves.

Thanks a lot, Jack! Very helpful info. Nice shot, too!

Btw, not much at all going on in the Skagit except for daffs right now. Most fields of tulips aren't even up yet- at all. :frown: Some up and just barely open in the Roosengaarde show garden...

I'm still debating with myself about going down to Woodburn... If so, perhaps I'll see some PNWNP friends there. I'm the one being towed by the poodle; please say, "hey."
