I took my boys up Indian Creek last week, and after a wet and slippery hike, we came to the end of the trail and saw some beautiful falling water. Of course by the time we got there it was 12 noon and full sun, but it was still really amazing.
Nice job of handling the sun, Scott. Was this an HDR, or single exposure? If you have a shot exposed for the highlights, the water near the top could be toned down just a tad. The water also looks just a little on the blue side.
I'll bet your boys had a great time. That's one of the best hikes in Arkansas, as long as you watch your step. Any shots from Tunnel Cave Falls or Eye of the Needle?
Thanks Bill. It is an HDR, so I might work on the top of the waterfall a bit to tone it down a little. Hopefully I'll post a tunnel cave falls picture soon.
I like this shot. It is somewhat of a departure from most people's waterfall shots, but it works. I love how the top segment of the waterfall splits into many streams and come in front of the middle area. And I love all the horizontal lines in the rock. I do believe I'll have to add this one to my list.

This looks like a nice tight spot for a waterfall shot Scott. Just looking at this and you get an indication of how difficult it might have been to get there. Nice work, thanks for sharing.
There are few greater pleasures than a hike in the woods with your kids, even if you don't produce any shots. In this case you were doubly blessed, because you got both.
I think you handled the tough lighting situation well, but as Bill pointed out you might check the white balance. Nice job.
