I have a space left for a week on the Isle of May this year.
Normally 4 of us go and split the cost but one person is unable to attend this year hence the space.
The dates are the 14th June to the 21st of June and the cost is £142 which includes your boat on and off. Be aware that you may not get on and off exactly on those dates as it depends upon the sea state - but that that time of year it should be OK. dependent upon your location it may be possible to car share to get there.
The accommodation is very basic in an old lighthouse - it's like camping where somebody supplies a very odd shaped robust tent with chairs and a cooker. There are beds (you bring a sleeping bag), chemical toilet and the only hot water is from a kettle. There is no electric, heating or shower and all lighting and cooking is by calor gas (supplied). You have to bring all your food/water with you and carry all your rubbish (that cannot be burnt) off.
It is possibly the best seabird island in the UK with very high cliffs and also sloping bays and this is probably the only way to spend extended time on it.
If you are interested then please email by next Monday the 14th @ 6pm - I will acknowledge receipt - and I will subsequently draw a name from the hat.
I would just like to add to Tom's text above that having spent time on the island a few years back myself, this is an excellent opportunity to add some great photographs to your portfolio.
