Could not stop myself, badger
Bonsoir
I could not stop myself. I went back to my badger set this evening. I arrived at 19h05, place a few different bait and at 19h20 the badger was out!! I had to wait a whole 15 minutes!! This time as it was still early I did not use the flash. I set the camera (Mark3) at 2000 asa and at first I fired a shot then two then three then at last back to my usual!!! BURST....after a few of these i realised that i had done 3 gig on badger!!!The badger seeem to get used to me been there. I try to make all sort of noise when it is out and I also talk to it.....Sheis not bovered at all.It is great.
This is without a doubt a female with young. When I was placing my baits I could ear the youngs squiling and making all sort of noise in the set. i think they are still very very small.
The lense I used was the 300mm F2.8 at f5.6.I was a bit to closed for my liking, next time I will used the 70-200 F2.8.I can`t wait for the young to comme out of the set.
Bonne soiree

I guess so Frederic, he certainly isn't from Wales because ours are generally a lot more wary, particularly about coming out in daylight. Our illustrious leaders within the Welsh Assembly have also now decided to trial a period of culling badgers to try to prevent the spread of TB in cattle. Hopefully it wont be in my neck of the woods.
Good luck for the summer.

What a wonderfull backdrop, makes a real change to the usual UK peanut baited 'log' shots

I prefer the first image, it is so surreal :toast:
