OC in flight
Don't get excited  ...............Although at first glance this shot seems reasonable IMO, its a 75% crop {leaving me with one mega pixel to play with :frown: }.

This bird put in an unexpected appearence, while i was having a practice BIF session with my local gulls.

Not worth working on or printing {possibly squeeze a 7x5 out of it  }, but it gives me confidence that i should get some decent {more finely detailed} results with my new set-up, if i can have a closer encounter in the future.

I have used the magic wand on the bg, as it was a bit pale in colour.

Alan

Nice sharp image. Could you not have cropped so that it was more an enviro type image rather than a close up?

Chris.

Hi Alan,

Does not look like a big crop to me, but does look like a well exposed in flight shot!

Nice work

Regards

Looks ok Alan only thing when you used your magic wand was that it might have been worthwhile experimenting with the colours as sky looks slightly overdone. Only MO though. :toast:

Nice flight shot, Alan.
I agree with Major, the sky looks a bit funny on my monitor too.

Good one. Exposure good on a difficult subject.
Bird a bit big in the frame for me but no big deal - adds impact maybe.
Sky looks blue but I've seen 'em that blue a few times -especially if you keep the exposure down and drop the monitor gamma.
Cheers

Thanks all....................Yep the sky does look a bit dodgy  ,

Chris, thanks for the suggestion, but i feel that having even more of this bland sky in the frame wouldn't do it any favours :frown:

Hopefully this gives me a base to work from, with these little blighters.

cheers

Alan
