It's been about a week or so since the new Adobe Lightroom release. Has anyone had problems? I mistakenly downloaded the last update for Lightroom, so I'm leery about the new download. I don't want to get burned again. I think the software is great, just wondering if there are any bugs yet. I'm running windows XP pro and currently own Lightroom 1.3.1 (1.4 was embarrassing for Adobe). :frown:

If you've downloaded it, what do you think so far?

Hi Mike,
i downloaded it and gave it a try, and i must say i'm quite impressed, but... its a beta and still has some bugs. On a side note, you cant do anything wrong with trying it because it uses a seperate catalog file, so you will need to import some new photo's to LR 2 (preferably copy's)
I wouldn't want to use it for my daily work till its in final fase.

I'm avoiding it until the sale copy is ready and has been tested by the public for at least a month. I recall getting sucked into these Beta trials before and when the final version came out the Beta testers had problems with the install. Who needs it??? ..... especially if you end up losing images.

Wim & Joseph,

Thanks for your responses! :jump: Sounds like a good upgrade, but I think it makes sense to wait until there is a sellable version out.

I was a beta tester for the original version, and never had any problems. I liked it so much I quickly bought it when it first was available commercially.

So far no problems with this beta version, but I'm not doing much with it, either, so far.
