Nice one Phil.
The bird maybe a little contrasty but maybe the blossom is overpowering the shot making the bird take "second place " maybe !
Attractive though.
Cheers
John
Hi Phillip,
I like the composition and the colour,
the background is perfect.
For me the blue is a bit too strong,
jeah, the catchlight is another theme,
is it possible that the tail of the bird is a bit oversharpened?
I am following this fantastic forum now for some month,
I am learning, I observe, I follow the comments from you guys
when I make a critical comment to a post like this its not personal
I only want to improve my skills.
I would like to know how you realized this wonderful shot. Not technical, just
go out -- what set up---hide? --- wait-- patience-- surrounding-- weather --- shot
Just been to you website,
great show there, really. Like it.
Don't think it would have worked, had part of the foliage been seriously OOF, but all is in a similar plane.
I agree the foliage competes for attention, and in this instance, i think a catchlight would have helped with that { If only the bird had played ball}.
Attractive composition though
