Hi, everyone.
We just returned from a fabulous trip to the Galapagos islands. The photos are in the Galapagos Gallery on my web site. So many endemic, incredible species!
I put the name of the particular island as the first word for the caption in each photo. For example, if a photo of a Blue-footed Booby is from North Seymour island, the caption will say, "North Seymour Blue-footed Booby." This may be a bit confusing because some of the species have the word "Galapagos" in their name. So when you see a caption that reads "Espanola Galapagos Mockingbird," it's not a typo; it's a photo of the Galapagos Mockingbird on Espanola island.
The Most Recent Gallery is also updated with new Wetlands shots.
There are no updates for the One Great Blue Heron Family Gallery because the babies, although they're now as big as the adults, still haven't left the nest. I've heard reports that they have taken some short test flights, but I haven't seen it myself yet. Imagine - four months old and still living at home.
I'd love to hear your comments on the photos, especially your favorites.
Hi Lance, I wish i could travel as much as you do Great images from your trip! Some good friends of mine went to the Galapagos last year and absolutely loved it - must be an incredible place. All of the bird shots are excellent - I shoot mostly landscapes, so i find those very interesting as well and the shot of the iguana in the grass is really cool too.
Glad you had a great trip
Wade

Lance,
Again you bring sights not often seen. I really enjoy the two bird shots with the water as a background from your Galapagos gallery and your Blue Winged Teals and pair of GB Herons in your recent work are my happy favorites.
