Howdie folks,
It's a great time to go out and shoot some Redshanks. A beautiful bird and not very difficult to approuch when you are proper camouflaged.
iso 320 1/1250 sec. F7.1

Lovely bird. Good background tones, great pov and pin-sharp.
Is this with the 120-300mm? with tc ?
I've a friend considering this lens.

Thanks guys,
Yes, it's the 120-300 with 1.4 tc. The 1.4 is attached to the lens 90% of the time.

I Like this enormously Edwin..............great stuff
My personal experience with these birds is different to yours, as they seem to be the most skittish birds on my coast.
Admitedly my stalking prowess is not very skilled though, due to my old bones not allowing me to bell crawl {in fear of not getting up again
}.
