Park Ave on a cloudy afternoon...
On my recent whirlwind tour of Utah, I stopped for the afternoon in Arches. I decided to try and poke around the Park Avenue area for awhile to see what presented itself. Unfortunately the cloud cover to the west looked less than promising, but rather than move on I decided to try an look for interesting things to shoot anyway. So I attached on of my newest lenses, a Zeiss 1.7/50mm and tried to look for patterns and such things. I came away with this shot of some leaves.....

As well as this odd looking trail in the sand -- still trying to figure out what made it. The DOF is a little thin on this one...

As I was down low in this alcove, the sun finally dropped down below the clouds and I was treated to this view of Park Ave, Petrified Dunes and way off in the distance Balanced Rock.

The last is a beautiful scene.

I keep look at those trails and trying to guess what could have made them. It's a real mystery thats for sure. Love the light in the last shot..

The leaves appear to be Holly, the tracks appear to be made by a human with a stick?:), the last photo is very nice showing good depth.

My vote surely goes to #3 as a Wall Hanger!

Thanks, guys -- I still can't figure out what made those trails in the sand. Since there were no other signs of people where I was am going to say it was some kind of insect.
