New world 2 me
My flora shooting skills are so weak that I've been messing around at home with potted flowers using the "cram" method. This is a 2 image stitch to include more of the petals-this prints at 18"x 8"!!
Comments and suggestions appreciated :-)

Just keep shooting! Its always so much fun just moving the lens around, in and out to see all the different comp. you can find. So many options. Focus, aperture, every little thing totally changes the subject. Enjoy. Ron

Hey great shot Leann! Glad to see you're experimenting with the flora stuff! I might crop a little off the bottom of this one just to put it a little off center. Great shot though, I love the colors and the DOF.

If/whenever you can, use mirror up and/or depth of field preview. Turn off image stabilization on any lens when using a tripod. Almost always use a tripod and remote release for macro. Have lots of fun! But have lots of patience when you get outdoors.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I do use remote release, have mirror lock up and always use a tripod and therefore don't use IS. Well I only have that on one lens anyhow!
 I Hear ya on the crop also. I appreciate the responses very much.

The dof and the bg petals are great, Leann.

Thanks guys,
Michael, it's 2 vertical shots-just overlapped 2 shots and hand stitiched in PSE5. I bought a pano head used and it came without instructions so I've never figured it out with equipment!

Hey Lance-Thank you. :wavey:
