Thanks to Tim E's for his recommendation on where to find these little guys. I got to spend some quality time with them before the sun rose above the shading ridge to the east of this bench.
Dutchman's Breeches (Dicentra cucullaria) I think. Apologies to Don if this is incorrect.
I like it Rod. These are such cool little flowers hanging from their arching branches. The breeches around here were just about go get going and then the weather turned on them again. It got very cold with snow flurries today. So I will just enjoy your image until our get going again.

Real nice shot Rod, I don't recall seeing a comp quite like this one before. I like the double arching stems and perfect blooms of these breeches. Nice even light too. I might crop out the one small stem leading out of frame at lower right, it seems to draw my eyes.
Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! Hope you have some of these left by then.

I like this Rod. The inclusion of the green foliage and stems really makes it a complete flora image in my opinion. Nice job.
I'll second Wayne's comment on the double arching stems. Nice shot of a neat subject. There seems to be a slight overall red cast to this on my monitor. You might try an auto color or auto levels adjustment and see if you like it or not.
A really pretty image Rod. I'm with Tom never found these around?

Tom and Gail,
I found these thanks to Tim E's comment on a waterfall picture posted on the forum.
These are on the road to Camp Orr. As you turn right to go to Camp Orr and not go onto Kyles landing you will be on a bench that has these wildflowers. They are up and down the bench but I found these closet to the waterfall(s) and the east end of the bench.
Happy Hunting--If you don't find them I'll take you there over the CSNP weekend.
