Hi Everyone,

I spent more than seven hours chasing a Hooded Crows, Rooks and Starlings around yesterday afternoon and I’m knackered! This shot was one of the last few frames of the day (I only managed 4 frames of him on this tree).

Happy shooting,

Well worth the sweat & tears Paul :toast:

This works well for me........pin sharp throughout, and showing the bird amoung the twigs!

Great choice of aperture, in my book, for this shot, as had the obscuring branches been slightly oof, they may have become a distraction.

Nicely done :toast: :toast:

I handn't realised these were such lovely birds. We have regular displays of flocks making beautiful patterns in the sky at sunset. The highlight on the back next to the perch is a little bright, but this is very nice!

Very nice Paul. Agree with others that the wide dof makes this shot work. Lovely sharp image.

If your knackered then you know you have done something Paul. All this photography is good for keeping your weight down. Did you know that?
As already mentioned this works nicely framed by the branches. :toast:

An unsung bird in my view: always think they have such beautiful colours and designs when you really look. A very nice shot well worth the 7 hours Paul!

Hello Paul.

These birds can be quite stunning if you can get the light just right on them. And you've done just that. Lovely capture of a lovely bird. :wavey:
