Somewhere in Devils Canyon
With the sun shining and the wind blowing, it was hard to find any scenes to shoot yesterday in the Devils Canyon special interest area at the southern foot of the Ozarks. Finally I came upon this small drop in the stream, with a lichen-covered stone backdrop. Your comments are appreciated.

John, this is very nice, wonderful choice. Nice detail in the lichen covered rocks. I even like the rock in the upper left with the white patches, I actually think it adds something to the scene. Great job!

John, a very beatiful shot and especially under the conditons we had yesterday! This will make a great print. I just gave up and went paddling on Clear Creek and Lee Creek.

Color so tasty I want to have it for dessert. And I like how you included the little plants along the top edge of the image.

The cloudy Saturday that wasn't no doubt messed up many a photographer's plans. About the only clouds I saw Saturday were on the eastern horizon at daybreak as I was trying to shoot a sunrise. Sunday there were still clouds on the eastern horizon as I was trying to shoot a sunrise, hoorah.

But then along about nine or so, wham, cloud city. Also, cold city, but still a great day. On the way home I was surprised to see a few snowflakes up in the high mountains between Nail and Red Star.

Were you able to get out on Sunday, John?

Fantastic composition, John. The sun doesn't hurt this one bit, in fact, I think it looks better than it might have on an overcast day. Beautiful!

Nice work and a challenge on top of that! I ran into similar sunny situations at Kings River Falls on Saturday. Dang Sun!

Hey John another really clean shot waterfall shot. Great job. I think it is in full swing. ya never know the rain may continue this year. But it could aslo shut down quickly.

A lovely intimate landscape John. The moss covered rock and rock details are very nice. Glad you were able to make something out of less than ideal conditions. Thanks for sharing.

Hey John, did you lose a pair of binoculars in there? If so I know who has them - ping me...

No missing binoculars here. Thanks though.
