Meltwater, Wolf Creek Falls, MN
Nothing spectacular here...just figured I'd post something recent, rather than months behind for once.

It was an absolutely beautiful day, so I broke away from school obligations to get out in the woods for awhile. Thursday night and Friday dumped a large amount of snow on Central Minnesota. Thankfully, the warmer temps have already begun to melt it. As a result, this waterfall was moving particularly well, showcasing more water spouts than usual. I used my Dslr with a longer lens than I have available on my 4x5 to make this image (I would have needed a lens in the 400mm range on the 4x5 :frown:). 3 horizontal frames were combined in PS to increase the resolution, I would guess that the results will look great at 11x14 and still very good at 16x20.

Tech Stuff: Olympus E-500, 3 shots @ 85mm, 1/15 @ f11

Love the details you caught here, Joel..from the water pouring down to the splashes and movement in the water below. The enlargement should be fantastic!!

Beautiful. That is a wonderful place during the spring melt. I'm hoping to get there soon.

School is over-rated. Get out and shoot! Really nice abstract, Joel.

Nice waterfall shot. I’m surprised they still aren’t frozen given the weather we had last week. I like the detail of the water running down the face of the falls. I would have thought the water would be brown this time of year.

Nice intimate quasi-abstract, Joel.

Thanks folks...for the record, I didn't skip school. Rather, I just put off some homework; nothing like a bit of procrastination.
