It occurred to me a little while ago that I've seen people say they can't make it, I've seen posts about the weather and the traffic, but no one has indicated that they will actually be joining me in the fields this weekend...
Is anyone planning to be there?

Not me, but then I live close enough to have the option of avoiding the weekend crowds. The latest from our local (Seattle) weather guesser is that there is a possibility of up to 3 inches of snow in the Mount Vernon area overnight Friday nite...or there could be none. The combination of snow and tulips would make for quite an image...

I would love to go but I am off to the Baja Peninsula for 10 days. But I think the combination of snow and red tulips would be stunning !
Nancy & I will be in Leavenworth - David Forster drove over the pass today to be there for an art fair he is displaying in over the weekend in Mount Vernon.
Red Tulips and snow?? Sweet and I'm sure the weather will reduce the crowds too!!
I'll be shooting a bodybuilding competition in Belleview all day Sat.

even a skiff of snow will make for some cool pics. with snow in the forecast, I might change my mind about getting out at first light!
I checked the sat loops and see cold air with broken cloud cover tracking our direction, so we might get some nice breaks in the clouds after all.
Rick, thanks for the reminder; I'll give David a call Saturday.
Well, I hope Brian and I aren't alone, but if we are, it looks like we should get some good lens time in. Things certainly look a lot more promising than they did yesterday.
I would come up, but I have an event I am showing my work at this weekend. I will be probably back at the Woodburn site Sunday morning though with hopes of snow. Might be a bust...but you never get the unusual images if you dont show up.
Good luck and hope you get some folks out your way!!!
Curtis,
Thanks for organizing the trip. I won't be able to make this trip but I will look forward to other outings. Whats with my bro and the body building shoot?

I'll be coming down from Bellingham and bringing a friend.
it's all about the green my friend! And I am told I will be introduced to many many fine women backstage . Who would turn down money and women? I can look past all the dudes in micro speedos

Curtis,
I'll be there in spirit. We are moving from Tigard over to Sherwood. Only 5 miles but it might as well be across the country!. Oh well.
Have a great time. We will meet soon I hope!

I'm going to keep an eye on the weather. If it looks like there's any chance of a break I will be there Saturday.
If anyone's going up today, be advised. I'm at work but the wife sent me pics of the three inches of snow in our backyard this morning. There was none when I left home thins morning. We live in Mount Vernon across the river and up the hill from the fields, so I don't know if there is any snow in the fields.

It was kind of odd Ken. We were driving through town to get to the fields and it was snowing to beat hell and piling up fast, but by the time we got to the fields, it was no longer sticking. we worked one field, drove around a bit, and headed back for breakfast, only to be greeted by snow once we were again away from the fields. I guess God was smiling on the farmers and not our cameras
