I arrived on Fair Isle this week for a field season of wheatear research. Here's one of the very many puffin photos I've taken so far. More to follow soon!

Hi Adam,
Very nice, it looks like you're going to have a good time up there. Any sign of the Wheatears yet?
Cheers,
Dan.

Thanks Dan! The wheatears are turning up and also weighing themselves already! I'm not entirely happy with how the puffin turned out on this post - lacking the vibrance it had at the time and also on lightroom...and I couldn't repost my new effort
The colour space is wrong in the image - it's set to 'ProPhoto' so 99% of web browsers won't show it properly. You should have the images converted to sRGB for web display - you might have to set that as your output in Lightroom as I'm not too sure if you can convert between colour profiles in PS Elements.
You can repost an image in this topic - look for the 'choose file' button below the text box when you're typing your reply (the button only appears for members...which you are ).
FWIW, the muted colours do look nice - looks like you had a good sunset

Hi Colin,
I really like this image! Will check back later for the repost with the right colour space (sRGB).
Nick - you can change the colour space in PS Elements, just not as many choices as CS!
Nice to know things have changed since Elements V1 then Paul

Thanks for your replies, and Nick for pointing out that my colour profile is wrong in LR! Its now changed to Adobe 98 as that's what my library needs (only just started using LR this week). Hopefully this repost will look better...

Hi Adam,
Very nice, much improved! All my TIFF's are in Adobe, but for web presentation sRGB in JPEG is still the way to go!
What a vast improvement. The re-post really brings out the best in the scene. Amazing that such a simple thing can make such a drastic difference.

Thanks again, glad that I posted this so soon - would have been a nightmare to have had a whole batch with the wrong colour profile! I'll post my JPEGs with sRGB next time too...
By the way, what a fantastic island Fair Isle is!
