I am told that the first ones arrived last weekend. There were two flying about in the bushes both males and they seemed to be trying to outdo each other with their singing. I suppose this might be a territory thing as the song was just a burst and then each would fly off. Hard to get a good shot as they keep well into the bushes. I just parked myself under a tree and waited hopefully for one to come into view. Eventually, this one obliged but only time to get a quick few shots before he was back under cover. I know this is an environement shot with alot of other colour about but you have to take what you can get sometimes.

Hi Dave,
Nice enviro shot! Hope you get a chance to work them properly as they settle down!
I very much enjoy seeing birds in their surroundings and also enjoy seeing the bird very small in the frame at times. The only concern I have is the composition is let down by the bird being dead central, would have ideally prefered to see the bird towards the upper right third. Although I can appreciate it's sometimes easier said than done with often no more than a fleeting glimpse.
A nice bird to have in your collection though.
