I took this from the Lake Pepin overlook North of Wabasha, MN. This is a good place to be above the eagles. Wabasha is also the home of the National Eagle Center.
Beautiful bird. Beautiful capture. I like the background must be a nice place to shoot.

What an incredible vantage point! It's nice to see an eagle with something besides a mountain in the background. My Dad just sent me an article describing a pair of eagles nesting in the median of the George Washington Parkway in D.C. It's a major commuter route and right on the flight path of Reagan Airport. I guess the eagles are becoming more adaptable as their numbers increase
Nice catch Ken! Lake Pepin is a nice area in general, I need to get down to that area again this year. It's been awhile.

Nice! Love seeing Eagles in flight. We had several in our downtown area cruising over the channel, but I was never able to get close enough for any decent shots.
Chuck...I've heard about the DC pair. There's quite a story that goes with them, if it's the same pair.

Nice shot Ken! I hear the newly constructed National Eagle Center is complete. Last time I was down there they were just getting ready for the move. The volunteers were very exited. Their captive eagles I'm sure have a much better home.
