Thought it was about time I posted a pic!!

Took this about a week ago, couldn't believe how relaxed he was in front of the camera. They're such fickle things!

Technical bits:

Nikon D200, 500mm f4, tripod.

ISO400, 1/500 @ f8

PP in CS3, not cropped, levels tweaked, sharpened a bit

All comments and critique welcome!

Thanks for looking!! :wavey:

That's nice Dawn. ( You have the right camera for it.)
These animals must be in every part of the country except over here !
You could try a tiny bit of sharpening in the eye region perhaps.
Cheers
John

Nought like a fickle hare, well caught worry about the virtual legs though.

Nice portrait Dawn.
None around here either John, much to my dissapointment as they are such a wonderful, and difficult, subject.
Well done Dawn, lets see some more.

Nice classic pose, the dew adds to the spring grassland mood.

Very nice detailed image Dawn...would have been nice to have bit more canvas at the bottom but you should be very pleased with this

Cracking image, never had the free time to photograph any this year, seeing this makes me wish I did!

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated! I agree about the 'virtual legs'! Couldn't believe how close he came  Perhaps I'll have to splash out on a zoom

See what you mean about the sharpening, I'm never sure quite how far to go for the web..a little more I guess!

Thanks again :wavey:
