finally spring
I've been jealous of everyone's springtime images here on the forum. Our April has been much colder than normal with lots of wind but today is about 80 degrees. The redbuds are just starting to bloom.

This is a small dam on the Ninnescah River near Kingman Kansas, about 30 minutes after sunset. I blended this with two exposures of 30 and 5 seconds.

Thanks for looking.

Ken, I love the blue/gray tones in this image! I really like the contrast between the perfect reflections and the blurred movement of the water downstream of the fall. :toast:

I find myself wishing for just a slight bit more diagonal orientation of the dam but that is just my personal preference.

Great work and a wonderful blended image! :toast:

Very nice work; one question is if the reflections are brighter than the source, hard for me to decide but I like the look either way

Beautiful image Ken. I'm with Tim on the light and detail. I see what Wayne is saying about the still reflections contrasted against the blurred water. Great! Thanks for sharing.

Ken, very nice image, I really like the reflections of the trees in the water above the dam and the motion of the water below the dam.

Lovely serene image, Ken. I like the overall silvery blue hues.

Beautiful scene, Ken. I love the reflections above the dam, and softness of the water below. I tend to agree with Wayne about the diagonal orientation of the dam - seems just a little to perpendicular to the viewer.
