Here is a shot I took in December in Arches NP, on my way down to Northern AZ. There was plenty of snow south of Moab and up in Canyon lands NP, but only puddles in Arches. Initially I wanted to make this a B&W, but after scanning and a little work, I kind of like the color version.
C&C welcome.
...oh and the piece of wood...not sure where it came from!
I like the sky, and that fg wood is quite interesting. The formation itself lacks good light, so it looks a bit flat and overly centered. To be honest, i actually prefer this shot with the top cropped so there is only the reflection of the rock, its a quirkier more unusual comp and a lot more intriguing to me.

I think that warming up the colors would help. Overall though, this is a stunner IMO. Thanks for sharing. It makes me miss Utah.

I like the composition you've got going here. The shot does suffer a bit with the flat lighting. As Momo suggests, maybe try warming the colors it a bit.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Well…DUH!!! I just realized that I did not embed the sRGB profile – hence the lack of saturation. I have updated the JPEG, so the above image should have a little more punch now.
Don – actually the morning I took this image we had surprisingly very little wind.
Stan – I can see where a reflection-only shot would really make for a unique image, but I included the sky, because of the great clouds that morning. I’ll try to remember this next time I work on a reflections shot.

Rene,,,,,The clouds are great personally I wouldn't eliminate them.

I like this and can see why you like the clouds. The piece of wood is a great find. I really like the circular action going on in the water with the curve of the log and the sky. I wouldn't mind seeing a B&W version of this. Nice work, Rene.

The clouds make a great backdrop! Reflections in arches are always a great find. Nice shot!

Nice work, Rene. The entire image works for me.

While the piece of wood does look a little "placed," it still adds a lot to the image. I think this is really nice! The moody clouds add to the inclement feel of the scene.

Very nice Rene. The clouds are key to the image.

Very nice image. I like the colors and the comp myself.
