First Wheatear
This is my first ever shot of a wheatear, taken a week ago. I was pleased with the way the background colours seem to complement the bird.
Canon EOS 30D
Sigma 500mm

Hi Robert,

I echo your thoughts, I too like the BG matching the birds plumage. Nice position in the frame and I like the eye contact even though he has his back to us.

Good shot

Regards

Rob

Nice comp, nice bird, nice BG. Not sure about my eyes, but I wonder if this has the same problem as I have often had, with the point of focus being on the wing rather than the eye? It actually doesn't detract from the image though - more a learning point for me.

Lovely shot Robert , great perch , thought you might have had more comments on this by now , I'd be well pleased if it were mine.
