Lapwing
Belfast Harbour Reserve Northern Ireland

The RSPB (Royal Society for Protection of Birds) is creating habitat for this declining species to breed. This is about 80% of full frame taken through glass window in hide.

Lovely shot of a really underrated bird. :toast: These wouldn't look out of place in the tropics when you see them close up.

Cheers,

Dan.

Nice one of a great bird, unfortunately the head turn is just too much away from you (they seem to keep the glass clean  )

Nice Lapwing shot. I would maybe have given it a little more space ,but no big deal

I see what they mean about the shades of green in Ireland, lovely shot and it shows the plumes perfectly.

Bit tight for me Craig, but a good looking bird

Very nice - I've seen several in Scotland recently but haven't managed an image of this standard.

I think the head-turn in fine Craig - very nice capture :toast:

Bit too tight for my taste and a levels adjust to give it some more punch would be my course of action - but it's a grand image all the same

Hi Craig,

Lovely capture! A little tight in the frame for me too! I agree with Andy about a slight lift in levels.

Hi Graig,

Nice portrait, but I think it needs a little more space!
