Wild Phlox
Shot this phlox at Clifty Falls this morning, the flowers are still beautiful there, tried to isolate this group of blooms against a dark bg.

Just returned from the Smokies and the flowers were beautiful there as well, got the opportunity to meet fellow NPN member Kerry Leibowitz I am sure he will be bringing back some great images as well !

Bernie,

That purple really pops with the dark BG. For me, if it were mine, I'd seriously consider cloning out the entire stem and leaf or maybe even cropping to a square format. I really like this overall! :toast:

I know what you are saying Mitch, the leaf definitely has a funny look to it but I wasn't sure if a crop would hurt the image or not, I think I will play around with it and see what happens. :wavey:

I'd prefer to leave the stem and leaves in this, Bernie....if you can lighten that portion somewhat. Fantastic color of the Phlox and good DOF.

The many shades of purple are amazing, Bernie. They really pop out of the background! I could see this as a horizontal image with just the petals surrounded by black.
