A perfect application! - but how far could you hike with that noise ?

Somebody's gonna get rich from that creepy-looking thing. But aside from the noise, you couldn't use it in wilderness areas, since no mechanized forms of travel are allowed. That still leaves a lot of territory open, though.
How do you find this stuff?!?
Very interesting, and funny at the same time!

I work for a company that uses robotics in its products and I have to say, I'm amazed. The engineering and programming that went into this must be mind boggling. I'm also a little creeped out. I don't look forward to seeing this on the trails anytime soon.

It is pretty darn freaky!!! But also very impressive. Especially when it slips on the ice and maintains it balance--incredible! A friend said it looked like a giant fly on crack!
Wow... when it was walking on the ice it apeared to "learn"! It was doing much better towards the end of the ice.

Technically very cool. But I think it's going to give me nightmares tonight. It's kind of freakin' me out.

I've done some artificial intelligence programming and this is pretty incredible. It's great to see the advances being made. Kinda intrusive to be following you up the trail, though.

If you see me on the trail, get out of the way!
