Narcissus in the CVNP
Here's a spot in the CVNP that Jack Graham pointed out to me last year. These Narcissus poeticus are growing wild in a wooded area the size of a football field. The narcissus bloomed Sunday or Monday and will peak soon. This shot is from yesterday afternoon.

I had to spend a few minutes convincing a park ranger that I was only shooting, not picking the flowers. Told him his time would be better spent finding out who has been running their ATVs through the flowers (@#$&ing idiots).

This spot is at the corner of Akron-Peninsula Road and Northhampton, east of the river.

What a great find, Chuck! Love the composition with the tree trunks scattered throughout the image!

Chuck,

I concur with Toni's comment! I bet you took more compositions that are just as sweet!

Nice image. Thanks for posting both the image and the location. I'd like to get over there.

The trees and flowers seem to work well gives lines & texture to the comp. CVNP must be a deliteful place to spend some time.

Excellent image Chuck. Those blooms looks incredible. Even though I am now out west I do miss CVNP.

Great shot Chuck... I really liked this place. Did these plants smell as bad as they did last year? They are in the daffodil famile but if I remember right they had a rather pungent oder, much UNLIKE your shot!

Hey Jack, welcome back. When I was at this location, the smell was very nice -- just a hint of perfume in the air. Maybe as they begin to die back they get kind of funky?
