Spent the past weekend in the Smokies, had a really great time, flowers were beautiful and the tourists didn't seem bad at all.
Got this image of Grotto Falls late Saturday morning, there was only me and two other photographers there, conditions were rain and foggy. This is the first time I have been able to shoot this spot at my own pace, most of the time I am jostling with kids and other folk who wanted to get up close and personal with this spot.
Tried a little different angle from the creek below, thanks for taking a look !!

Looks great Bernie! I've never took the time to walk out to this fall, only because of the amount of turons that are generally parked in the parking area. Looks like I need to make a special early trip! Nice shot!
Looks good! I was planning to go to Grotto Monday or Tuesday, but after hiking Baxter Creek and White Oak Sink, my legs were worn out, and time ran out anyway. Were the wildflowers good along the hike to the falls? I have read that there are a lot of trillium, etc. on the trail.
