Hi,
I'm looking for the pricing on 16x20 museum glass. I checked
Aaron Brothers and they want $41 a sheet.
Has anyone found a better deal?
Thanks,
-Jeremy

First off, Museum Glass is very, very expensive. So don't expect to get a sweet deal on it anyplace.
Aaron Bros. is really high on glass. Same with Michael's (same parent company).
If you are OK with reflection control Hobby Lobby is much cheaper, but I don't remember them having museum available. I can get 18X24 sheets of UV/reflection control glass there for $15 or so. I think Aaron Bros wanted $28 at that size. Hobby Lobby uses the same glass vendor as Aaron Brothers, but are much cheaper. Just avoid their frames.
I've gotten some coupons from Fast Frame in the springs near my house and bought glass with them. Saved a few bucks on that deal. But they are the same price as Aaron Bros normally.

Lana at RCF can probably get it for you. I think with ABC you might need to be a retail frame shop (?)

Based on past discussions here, I don't know that you need to be a retail frame shop to buy from ABC Moulding, but you may need to be a business with a tax ID.
Tru-Vue Museum Glass is what you want as Nat said.
Also, if ABC won't sell to you let me know and I can get it for you.
Thanks,
Vince

BTW, I couldn't think of it at the time, but Hobby Lobby sells Tru-Vue as well. I don't suppose it would hurt to ask if they've got museum glass since they're about half the price of Michaels on the RC glass.
Though I don't know if they sell it...but www.lightimpressionsdirect.com may have something.

Aaron Brothers is the only retail store I know of that sells Museum Glass in the area. Even most of the custom framing shops don't carry it.
ABC Molding carries it in large sheets - not sure if they're willing to cut it or not, as I've only had my retail license since last summer. It's expensive stuff regardless. (Museum Acrylic is even more expensive...)

O'Malleys in Albuquerque sells a three-pack of 16X20 Tru Vue Museum Glass for around $85. They don't usually have it on hand, but order it.
Hello all. I haven't participated on NPN in quite a while and live in Florida which is completely out of this regional forum. However, I stumbled across this thread while searching for Tru Vue museum glass myself. I have no business interrupting your private community, but figured I would share with you a seemingly affordable source I found in Fort Lauderdale. http://www.completeframers.com/Glass%2001-25-05.pdf
Tru Vue AR reflection free which is the same as the museum glass without the extra UV layer is priced at $165.00 for 3 32"x40" lites or 13.75 per 16"x20" section.
The best museum glass is priced at $255.00 for 3 32"x40" lites or $21.25 per 16"x20" section.
I don't know if they ship or cut glass, but I thought you might find this information useful.
