Well, he might be hard to find in this busy scene, but as I was looking through my shots from yesterday, I found this cardinal. Even a blind sow picks up an acorn every now and then...

Beautiful work, Bill. All the business has a flow to it; so it's a good business. You could simplify it a lot by taking some off the top, but I don't think that's necessary, and that would start to cramp the dogwood blossoms. Pretty good acorn.
I'm having some trouble spotting the cardinal. Is it in the lower middle of that group of red leaves in the upper left?

Let me guess... this is a 3 minute exposure and the cardinal flew by?
Can't find the cardinal, but everything else looks quite fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Pretty scene, Bill. I like how the dark trees stand out against the background, and the dogwood blossoms stand out in front of the trees. The cardinal is a nice subtle extra.
Thanks for the comments. It was nice to find a little bonus like this - doesn't improve the composition much, but sure makes a nice selling point when talking to customers.
The cardinal is about a fourth of the way down from the upper right corner, about a quarter of an inch from the edge (depending on how big your monitor is).
The light was some of the most incredible I've ever seen, and I feel that I've not done a very good job of showing that. This was just after a shower, so the trunks contrasted nicely with the blossoms and everything else.

Bill, I'll bet these images just come alive on the canvas! Awesome processing and (no offense intended) I couldn't care less about the cardinal!

Really an awesome scene Bill I absolutely love the colors, but I find the cardinal distracting. It just seems to overpower the image.

You're doing a lot of nice work with these busy scenes. Usually I catch spiders or ticks in my scenes so you're definitely doing better with a cardinal. Nice work!
