What a fantastic place Islay is. This is an attempt at photographing the Paps of Jura which are amazing to view, but I found not too easy to get a great image of...much like all the other landscapes I try But I'm sure if you had lots of time and varying weather conditions, some great shots are possible, but as a visitor I take what I can!
What do you think? I quite liked the birds but wonder whether they're in the wrong place...haven't tried moving them! Also found this a nightmare to process so hopefully it doesn't look too bad.
Any comments appreciated
Again processed on laptop

I like the birds. I think personally that you could crop the dark foreground otherwise it really makes me want to go to Islay.

Ah, I see you broke out the 500mm wide angle then Graeme
Birds look fine to me matey
I might be tempted to try adding another layer and increasing the contrast and saturation so the the Paps are more like the FG and blend the two layers together - you might loose a bit of the sense of perspective bit I think the hills would benefit a bit from a lift in con and sat.
Mind you, what do I know lolol

Hi Graeme well scene and the birds add something to the picture. When you are off for just a few days you have to photo what you can. Personally I do not like processing on a Laptop.

Hi Graeme,
Cracking landscape and the birds really add that little somethig extra! I too would crop the darker foreground!
A fine pair of paps, and the birds add a sense of scale. Not sure about the foreground, but think I would veer towards leaving it in, as it seems to give the picture a bit more depth.
