Lovely shot Paul, lots of detail. I suppose it is stating the obvious that it would look even better without the upright branch. I got some of these myself last weekend and every one had a single branch in front of or behind it. I followed them around all afternoon and never got one perfectly clean shot, I think they carry that branch with them to frustrate us.

I agree alot of detail nice clear shot. But they are difficult birds to get a good clean shot as they tend to stay hidden and dont show themselves much in the open. The upright branch does tend to spoil what would have been an excellent shot. :toast:

Hi Paul,

Something seems to have gone wrong during processing on this, by the look of it. You have a lot of artefacts around the edges of the branches, buds and bird. There seems to be alot of colour noise, and the colours look overcooked, Is it a big crop?? It needs reprocessing then you will have a nice image.

Regards

Rob

Repost looks much better, without the artifacts and you have done a good job (at this size at least) of removing any distractions, (this sort of thing can spark hours of debate)...

Hi Paul,

You have cleaned the image up nicely, but for me have been a bit heavy with the clone tool
