Hi,

Just a quick thanks first, just about a year ago my whole life was starting to be turned on its head and I still become very emotional at times, being able to get out with the camera and the wonderful camaraderie of this, perhaps the finest NH photography forum for Europe has helped me no end.

Managed to get out last night to check on the migrants to the Island, pleased to say that the Yellow Wags and Barn Swallows are returning and there are Lapwing Chicks just about showing.

No images yet, but here is a Redshank calling in the last bits on sunshine last night, a touch tight for me but this is full frame, I am used to the Lapwing being this close but not normally the Redshanks.

All the best

Phil

The light is really nice with that 'last knockings' warmth about it - a super image from one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of meeting - nice on Phil and long may you reign supreme mate :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

Hi Phil,

Lovely light and composition with the added bonus of the open bill. Colours are excellent and it's tack sharp. Phil, I'm so pleased you are doing OK, you will obviously never forget your wife, I lost my mum eight years ago this August and I think of her every single day, but time is a great healer my friend.

Take care

Best Wishes

Rob
