Pity the grass was so long but still pleased with an image of a normally very elusive bird.
Beautiful colours and stunning bird. Maybe a tiny less saturation on the greens but that's really a tiny nit.
Superb,

Its suposed to be colourful. Its a colourful bird. When the sunlight caught this birds head it really stood out a lovely golden colour. I know you have seen one up close John but to those who havent its a real treat believe me.

They certainly are colourful Major , but I really was referring to the grass more than the bird.
Still could be my monitor I suppose !

That's definitely better on mine as well. No mean achievement to get a shot of one of these, especially one this good.

Lovely stuff Major, a fantastic shot of this bird from a great POV, apart from a couple of slight post processing issues its definitely one of the best Hawfinch images I've seen.
I much prefer the first version despite it being slightly oversaturated, the second appears to have a bit of a 'highlight/shadow tool' halo around the bird itself.

Superb shot of a bird I have never even seen. I like the first shot better too, although the grass is a bit 'green'. I suppose I would tone down just the grass with the saturation tool. bit crude perhaps.
