Downland delight

I got up early this morning and forewent my Shreddies to take a small detour onto the Berkshire/Oxon downs on my way to work this morning. I was half heartedly after hare, but had little luck, then I stumbled upon this little beauty.

Nice capture Mike. Perhaps could do with a touch more USM though?

Lovely shot. When I saw the first image, I wondered if it might be too bright. The repost looks understandably better, but I still wonder if it's just a little bright. Personal taste of course. Not bad when you're thinking you're out of luck!

What a great bird to stumble upon! Nicely photographed, too - the yellow flowers make an attractive backdrop. Perhaps crop so the bird is a little off-centre?
