Right around the corner, Folks. The newest weekly challenge:
Weekly Challenge #329 (04/27/08 - 05/03/08) HDR - Submitted by Wim Reyns. Any nature photograph that makes use of a HDR technique (so at least 3 photo's combined to get increased dynamic range)
starts this coming Saturday night at midnight.
Now, I can't pretend to be an expert on this but I've sure been practicing.
For those of you who are also neophytes, there are many web sites to check out:
Naturescapes has a tutorial and I also found a Tutorial Blog. I'm sure there are many additional sites.
For those of you who currently practice HDR techniques, I'm going to ask that you share your words of wisdom so we can all gain.
This is something I've never tried Carol and have always wanted to. The images using HDR are just so full and vibrant. I guess with the main subject of insect macro outdoors, its kinda hard to come up with HDR, so I'll have to try something different for a change. I've seen it done using just the one image by using contrasts and brightening, but its not the same from what I've seen.
So yep, I will be wanting to learn this from the experts here. Now if I can just get a fly to stay in the one place outdoors in nature, alive of course
Danny.

Danny, all of the images I've seen made by others are full and vibrant. Mine leave a lot to be desired !!! Translation: They are strictly from hunger so hopefully someone from NPN will come along and supply the missing ingredients. I hope, I hope, I hope
Carol
PS I just realized what all that stuff on my sensor is: It's fly parts! All those flies you have been chasing have been escaping and flying far away from you in fear of their lives.
